Kyrenia is a port city on the northern coast of the island of Cyprus, which has been part of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus since 1974. Kyrenia is located at the foot of the mountains of the same name, directly by the sea. In Kyrenia, it is still forbidden to build high-rise buildings; The tallest building in the city has 5 floors.

On the shores of the most beautiful bay in Cyprus, surrounded by the sea and the mountain range, Kyrenia is guarded by a powerful medieval castle. Even despite the numerous bars, restaurants, and taverns, its Old Town remains quite quiet and a very cozy place. The best hotels in Northern Cyprus are located on the sea coast. This area was the permanent residence of a large number of foreigners.

Of greatest interest are the harbor, the castle, and the museum. The best way to get to know all the sights of Kyrenia, most of which are located by the harbor, is to walk along it.
